Lincoln Park is one of those neighborhoods that seem to get better with age. Lincoln park is located between North Avenue, Diversey parkway, Ashland Avenue and Lake Michigan. This “city within a city” offers an overabundance of shops, restaurants and entertainment options, all within a few minutes walk.

Lincoln Park has it all, fun food and excitement around every corner. If you are visiting Chicago and are looking to see one of the great Chicago neighborhoods (and the reason why Chicago is a great place to visit) then Lincoln Park should be on your list.

Shopping along North Ave, dining in the neighborhoods great restaurants, catching a ball game in any of the bars and pubs that seem to be on every corner is what makes this neighborhood so fun. Playing some hoops, walking along the lake shore, visiting the zoo or just hanging out is what Lincoln Park is all about.

Hipsters, families and the ZOO

Once thought of as a hipster neighborhood, Lincoln Park is seen as a young family neighborhood, I guess that the hipsters have gotten a bit older and settled down. Home to the Lincoln Park Zoo, Oz park & Lincoln Park (yes there is a parked named this) makes finding some fun and excitement an easy task.

Lincoln Park (the park) is situated along the shores of Lake Michigan and offers everything from a bird sanctuary and botanical gardens to golf, tennis, football, baseball, soccer and boating facilities of court and field sports are not your thing.

Activities and attractions

Lincoln Park is also known as the home of some very impressive theaters. The Steppenwolf and Second City theaters call this part of Chicago home, and make a great excuse to spend a night out on the town.

Then there's any one of the three arthouse/historic movie theaters in the area, the most famous of which being Chicago's notorious Biograph Theater, where John Dillinger was gunned down by the FBI and with all of the restaurants, shops and bookstores you will be kept busy wandering the streets and experiencing Lincoln Park.
